Here at Ballantyne Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics, We love for kids to know that this is their office, and to love coming to the dentist, even once they're all grown up!

MEET THE DOCTORS

Dr. Weinstein (everyone calls him Dr. Scott) is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. His family moved to Greensboro, North Carolina when he was 8.  He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (like his Mommy) for both his undergraduate and dental education. After completion of his dental studies, Dr. Scott followed his passion for taking care of children by completing the pediatric dental residency at Eastman Dental Center/Strong Hospital in Rochester, New York. He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Scott is an avid scuba diver, snow skier, golfer, and enjoys any sport associated with his beloved Tarheels.

Dr. Scott has received advanced training and is Honors.  He decided that his life's ambition was to make people happier with their smiles, so he certified in moderate pediatric oral conscious sedation by the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners, PALS (pediatric advanced life support), orthodontics, and hospital dentistry.  We also offer in-office general anesthesia with our dental anesthesiologist.  If you child is frightened, we can find a way to make sure their oral health is treated in the most comfortable possible fashion.

 

We also would like to welcome Dr. Stephen Saks to our team.  Dr. Scott and and Dr. Saks have been friends since they were in residency and we're excited that Dr. Saks has decided to relocate from Maine to Charlotte.  Dr. Saks was the #1 Invisalign provider in the state of Maine and has significant experience in all aspects of orthodontic treatment, including the Damon system.

Besides being an in-network provider for Delta, Cigna, Ameritas, and Met Life, patients/parents of the pediatric practice receive additional discounts on orthodontic treatment (not applicable with any other discounts).  Please ask our wonderful staff for more information on this.
